After a month or so operating our wood fired pizza oven the Restaurant Kitchen is reopening on Saturday the 4th of November. Also opening again on Thursday and Friday with most of the very noisy renovations in the Cellar out of the way. We look forward to welcoming you for our delicious new menu with the same warm, friendly and relaxed environment.

Cellar Door garden starting to bloom. One magnolia yesterday and today another. This weekend is a wood fired pizza weekend with the restaurant kitchen closed.

We have noisy renovations in our underground Cellars during the week, so will only be open on the weekends with wood fired pizzas, platters and desserts until the majority of the work is complete.

WHAT IS THE HARVEST FOR YOU?🍇

Traveling the world to discover wines, I realized that most producers consider the harvest to be the most "important" time of the year. 🌍

I thought about it a lot, I looked at our company trying to understand what the harvest meant to us; now that we have our own winery I have come to a conclusion: THE HARVEST IS IMPORTANT, it starts the engines of the winemaking processes which will go on for a long time arriving at a final product. Furthermore, it takes place during the passage of the two most important seasons of the year, surrounded by unique colors and indescribable moments. 🍷

But is it really MORE important than all the efforts made during the year? The care of the vineyard, the fight against bad weather, the very long and very important pruning season, the correct maintenance of the soil, the growing season, the correct development of the plants, the love for the animals that live and work for us, entrust us every year to the fate and sometimes force us to say “next year”. The desperate race against time that marks the rhythms of a very long song that lasts 300 days before and after the harvest!

The harvest IS IMPORTANT, from the point of view of a winery it is one of the MOST important moments. But for a 360° view it is one of the many heroic moments of this amazing job.
